Did you know?
The discovery of fat-soluble vitamins revolutionized medicine. As early as 1913, vitamin A was identified as the first fat-soluble vitamin, followed by D, E and K. An interesting anecdote: sailors in the 18th century often suffered from night blindness, which could be remedied by eating liver - rich in vitamin A. It was later shown that vitamin D prevents rickets, a common childhood disease at the time. The naming is also interesting: vitamin K was called the "coagulation vitamin" because of its role in blood clotting, while vitamin E was long considered the "fertility vitamin".

Frequently asked questions about the product
1. Are there any known side effects?

The drops are well tolerated in the recommended dosage. However, an overdose of fat-soluble vitamins can cause side effects such as nausea (vitamin D), headaches (vitamin A) or interactions with blood clotting medications (vitamin K, vitamin E). If you are unsure or have existing medical conditions, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

2. Can the drops be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes, but only after consulting a doctor. Vitamin A in particular should not be overdosed during pregnancy, as high amounts can be harmful.

3. What is the difference between DEKA Essence and DEKA Ultra?
• DEKA Ultra: Higher dosage, ideal for people looking for a high nutrient intake with just one drop.
• DEKA Essence: Flexible dosage, with 1-4 drops for a moderate supply.

4. Why is the product not vegan?
The vitamin D3 contained is obtained from wool wax (lanolin) and is therefore not vegan.

5. The drops already contain MCT oil. Why should I take them with a fatty meal anyway?
The amount of MCT oil contained in each drop is very small and is not enough on its own to optimally support the absorption of vitamins D, E, K and A. These vitamins are fat-soluble, which means that they are particularly well absorbed by the body in the presence of dietary fats. By taking them with a fatty meal - such as avocado, nuts or olive oil - the bioavailability can be significantly increased.

Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
