This innovative supplement addresses the growing demand for vegan-compatible micronutrient support without compromising bioavailability or potency. The advanced capsule technology features specialised light-protective blister foil that significantly enhances vitamin D3 stability throughout the product's shelf life, ensuring consistent potency from first dose to last. Each capsule utilises vegetable cellulose derived from plant sources, eliminating gelatine and other animal-derived ingredients whilst maintaining optimal dissolution and absorption characteristics. Formulated with meticulous attention to purity, Vitamin D Verla contains no artificial colourings, flavourings, or sweeteners—only the essential active ingredient and minimal excipients. The gluten-free and lactose-free composition makes this supplement exceptionally suitable for individuals with coeliac disease, dairy sensitivities, or multiple food intolerances. This comprehensive formulation serves vegetarians, vegans, and allergy-conscious consumers seeking reliable vitamin D3 supplementation. Vitamin D plays a critical role in calcium absorption, bone mineralisation, immune function, and mood regulation—particularly important for those with limited sun exposure or dietary restrictions. Verla-Pharm's commitment to clean labelling and ethical sourcing ensures you receive premium nutritional support aligned with your values.

Vitamin D occupies a special position among the vitamins. It is also called the sunshine vitamin. Because with the help of UVB radiation in the sun, the human body can produce the important vitamin D itself. In the northern latitudes, however, the body's own vitamin D synthesis is very limited from October to March. The sun shines only weakly and at too low an angle. As a result, the remaining UVB radiation is often not sufficient to enable the body to produce enough vitamin D.
Even in summer there is no guarantee that sufficient vitamin D will be produced. Depending on the skin type, a 15-30 minute sunbath could be enough - many still don't manage to get enough sun. There are multiple reasons for that. Many people nowadays work in closed rooms and only come into contact with the sun in the evening – if at all. In addition, the use of sunscreen literally blocks UVB rays. In addition, only a few foods contain enough vitamin D. Good sources of vitamin D are, for example, cod liver oil, herring or salmon. Anyone can take vitamin D as a prophylactic. For this purpose we offer Vitamin D Verla® purKaps in our purKaps line. These have been specially developed for consumers who want to take vitamin D3 in the purest possible form. Because the vitamin D3 used does not come from animal sources (sheep's wool or wool fat), as is usually the case, but is obtained from lichens (so-called lichen) in controlled plantation cultivation.
