• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is
  • Use in children and adolescents
    • Children aged 2 to 5 years
      • The medication should be taken according to body weight. The individual doses should be evenly distributed throughout the day.

          • Daily number of drops: 3 times 4 drops to 4 times 5 drops
        • Child's body weight: 13 to 15 kg
          • Daily number of drops: 3 times 4 drops to 4 times 6 drops
        • Child's body weight: 15 to 17 kg
          • Daily number of drops: 3 times 5 drops to 4 times 6 drops
        • Child's body weight: 17 to 19 kg
          • Daily number of drops: 3 times 6 drops to 4 times 7 drops
        • Child's body weight: 19 to 21 kg
          • Daily number of drops: 3 times 6 drops to 4 times 8 drops
        • Child's body weight: 21 to 23 kg
          • Daily number of drops: 3 times 7 drops to 4 times 9 drops
        • Child's body weight: 23 to 25 kg

    • Children aged 6 to 13 years
      • The medication should be taken according to body weight. The individual doses should be evenly distributed throughout the day.
      • For children weighing less than 25 kg, the dosage table for 2- to 5-year-olds should be used (see Table 1).

      • Take 34 to 51 drops 3 to 4 times daily (corresponding to 57 to 114 mg pentoxyverine).

• Duration of application
  • This medicine should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks without the approval of your doctor.
  • If the cough lasts for more than 2 weeks, a thorough examination by your doctor to determine the cause of the illness is necessary.
• Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect is too strong or too weak.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Taking excessively high amounts of this drug can lead to symptoms affecting the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract, such as decreased respiratory drive, drowsiness and vomiting, as well as symptoms like urinary retention, increased intraocular pressure, accelerated heartbeat, blurred vision, agitation, and hallucinations.
  • In such a case, call the nearest available doctor for help, who will decide what to do.

• If you forgot to take it
  • If you forget to take your medicine, or take too little, simply continue taking it at the next scheduled time, as described in the dosage instructions. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
