• The medicine is taken undiluted or with a little liquid using the enclosed measuring pipette (for doses up to 5 ml) or the enclosed measuring cup (for doses from 5 ml).
• Application of the pipette:
  • 1. After opening the bottle, immerse the lower end of the pipette approximately 2 cm into the liquid.
  • 2. Then pull the inner part of the pipette upwards until the desired ml amount appears above the ring. Please refer to the dosage chart for the required amount.
  • 3. The measured dose can now be administered by pressing down on the inner part of the pipette.
• Please clean the measuring pipette and measuring cup after use by repeatedly filling and emptying them with warm water.

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is:
  • Children aged 2 to 5 years take the medicine according to their body weight. The individual doses should be evenly distributed throughout the day.
    • 11 - 13 kg: 1.25 - 2 ml 4 times daily
    • 13 - 15 kg: 2 - 2.5 ml 3 to 4 times daily
    • 15 - 17 kg: 1.75 - 2.75 ml 4 times daily
    • 17 - 19 kg: 2.5 - 3 ml 3 to 4 times daily
    • 19 - 21 kg: 2 - 3.5 ml 4 times daily
    • 21-23 kg: 3-5 ml 3 times daily
    • 23 - 25 kg: 2.5 - 4.25 ml 4 times daily
  • Children aged 6 to 13 years also take the medication according to their body weight. The individual doses should be evenly distributed throughout the day.
  • For children weighing less than 25 kg, the dosage table for 2 to 5-year-olds should be used.
    • 25 to 30 kg: 5 ml 5 times daily, if necessary 3 times daily 10 ml. Fill the measuring cup to the 5 ml mark or 10 ml mark each time.
    • 30 to 35 kg: 10 ml 3 times daily, if necessary 4 times daily. Fill the measuring cup to the 10 ml mark each time.
    • 35 to 40 kg: 10 ml 3 times daily, if necessary 5 times daily. Fill the measuring cup to the 10 ml mark each time.
    • 40 to 45 kg: 10 ml 4 times daily, if necessary 5 times daily. Fill the measuring cup to the 10 ml mark each time.
    • 45 to 50 kg: 10 ml 4 times daily, if necessary 15 ml 4 times daily. Fill the measuring cup to the 10 ml mark or 15 ml mark each time.
    • 50 to 55 kg: 15 ml three times a day, if necessary 4 times a day. Fill the measuring cup to the 15 ml mark each time.
    • 55 to 60 kg: 15 ml three times a day, if necessary 5 times a day. Fill the measuring cup to the 15 ml mark each time.
    • Over 60 kg: Take as for adults
  • Adults and young people aged 14 and over
    • Take 15 ml of juice 3 to 4 times daily (1 measuring cup filled to the 15 ml mark each time) (corresponding to 60 to 80 mg pentoxyverine daily).
    • If necessary, the total daily intake can be increased to up to 90 ml (up to 6 measuring cups, filled to the 15 ml mark) (corresponding to 120 mg pentoxyverine daily) - spread throughout the day.
• Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

• Duration of application
  • This medicine should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks without the approval of your doctor.
  • If the cough lasts for more than 2 weeks, a thorough examination by your doctor to determine the cause of the illness is necessary.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Taking excessively high doses of the drug can lead to symptoms affecting the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract, such as reduced respiratory drive, drowsiness and vomiting, as well as anticholinergic effects like urinary retention, increased intraocular pressure, accelerated heartbeat, blurred vision, agitation, and hallucinations.
  • In such a case, call the nearest available doctor for help, who will decide on further medical measures.

• If you forgot to take it
  • If you forget to take the medicine, or take too little, please continue taking it at the next scheduled time as described in the dosage instructions.
