The Polli concept: Powerful against hay fever and allergies. With the "Polli" product line, URSAPHARM has developed an effective medication concept for allergy sufferers. Pollicrom®
eye drops and nasal spray with cromoglicic acid (sodium cromoglicate) provide basic protection for gentle and lasting relief from symptoms. For acute allergy and hay fever symptoms such as itchy eyes, sneezing, and allergic rhinitis, Pollival® eye drops and nasal spray with azelastine can provide rapid relief. Preservative-free and 100% made in Germany to tested pharmaceutical quality standards. Basic eye protection for hay fever and allergies. For gentle and lasting relief from eye symptoms. • Prevents the release of histamine and intervenes early in the allergy mechanism. • Preservative-free and well-tolerated. • High yield, affordable price . • For adults and children. Efficient basic therapy and lasting relief from symptoms. Allergic symptoms can be very bothersome and significantly impair quality of life. In addition to constant sneezing and a runny nose, people with hay fever, house dust mite, or pet allergies also suffer from unpleasant eye symptoms such as burning, itching, redness, and swelling. Early, gentle treatment with Pollicrom® eye drops can ensure that these troublesome symptoms are permanently under control. The active ingredient sodium cromoglicate has proven highly effective in the gentle and long-lasting therapy of allergy symptoms. It prevents the release of histamine, the body's own substance that is released during allergic reactions and triggers the typical symptoms. Once histamine has been released, this well-tolerated medication blocks its further release from mast cells. The symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis can thus be permanently alleviated.
Well-tolerated and preservative-free.
Many medications for allergy symptoms contain preservatives to kill disease-causing germs. However, preservatives such as benzalkonium chloride are themselves considered allergens and can cause serious and irreparable damage to the cornea and mucous membranes. Pollicrom® eye drops are deliberately formulated without preservatives. Thanks to the patented COMOD® system , the liquid remains sterile and stable for up to 12 weeks after opening. The innovative valve technology ensures precise dosing and high yield: only 1 drop is released per pump, and the bottle contains at least 300 drops.
HAY FEVER PREVENTION:
For many people, spring is the most beautiful season of the year, but for one in seven people in Germany, it marks the beginning of agonizing weeks and months with typical hay fever symptoms affecting the eyes and nose. These symptoms are primarily triggered by birch, alder, and hazel pollen, or grass allergies, which in the worst cases can last from March to October. Pollicrom® eye drops offer effective basic protection against allergies : When used early, the medication can effectively prevent bothersome symptoms such as watery, itchy, and burning eyes.
FOR HOUSE DUST ALLERGY:
In a house dust allergy, the immune system reacts to allergens within the home. It's not so much the actual house dust that's responsible for allergic conjunctivitis and constant sneezing fits, but rather the house dust mite, which is present in every household regardless of cleanliness. These tiny creatures find ideal conditions in or around the bed. House dust allergy sufferers experience symptoms affecting the eyes and nose year-round, often occurring at night and potentially causing sleep disturbances.
SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN
Allergic diseases are among the most common health problems in children. According to information from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), approximately 9 percent of those under 18 are affected by hay fever.* Pollen allergies usually develop from primary school age onwards. Especially during the school day, symptoms such as watery or itchy eyes are particularly unpleasant and can affect attention and performance. Pollicrom® eye drops are suitable for preventing bothersome symptoms . The preparation is well tolerated and can be used in children of all ages.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
How often should Pollicrom® eye drops be used?
Pollicrom® eye drops with the active ingredient cromoglicic acid are suitable as basic protection for allergy symptoms affecting the eyes . Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, instill 1 drop into the lower eyelid of the affected eye 4 times daily. If necessary, the daily dose can be increased to 1 drop 6 times daily. To prevent the development of severe symptoms, the product should be used several days before the first expected allergic reactions. Please note that, as with all other eye drop preparations, only the same person should be treated with one bottle of Pollicrom® eye drops to prevent the transmission of pathogens.
Can I use Pollicrom® eye drops with contact lenses?
Contact lenses should generally not be worn in cases of allergic conjunctivitis. If, in exceptional cases, your ophthalmologist permits you to wear contact lenses, please remove them before instilling the drops and reinsert them only 15 minutes later.
Will using Pollicrom® eye drops impair my vision?
A temporary impairment of vision may occur immediately after instillation. Unexpected or sudden events may then not allow for an appropriate or quick enough response. Therefore, wait a few minutes after using Pollicrom® eye drops before driving or otherwise actively participating in road traffic, operating electrical machinery and tools, or working without secure footing.
What can I do myself to avoid severe hay fever symptoms?
In addition to using appropriate medication, the following measures are recommended during pollen season:
• Spend as little time outdoors as possible and avoid outdoor sports activities, unless it's a rainy day.
• Ventilate your home during periods of lowest pollen concentration: in the city in the morning, in the countryside in the evening. Otherwise, keep windows and doors closed as much as possible.
• Do not dry your laundry outdoors during allergy season.
• Wipe down floors and surfaces with a damp cloth more frequently than usual to remove pollen dust.
• To prevent pollen from accumulating, remove plants and dust collectors from the bedroom. Also, do not store clothes worn outdoors in the bedroom.
• Wash your hair before going to bed. This rinses away pollen and prevents it from getting into your bed.
• Wear sunglasses outdoors to protect your eyes. A face mask is suitable for protecting the sensitive mucous membranes in your mouth and nose from airborne pollen. It should be changed daily if possible.
• Keep car windows closed while driving. Cabin air filters offer additional protection by removing not only pollen but also other harmful substances from the air.
