Organic Cistus incanus, originating from the Mediterranean region, is very popular as a soothing tea. Small twigs and leaves of the Cistus plant (also called rock rose, cistus, or cistus rose) are ground and processed into Cistus tea. Although the flowers of the Cistus shrub resemble those of the wild rose, Cistus is not related to the rose. It belongs to the Cistaceae family. The Cistus shrub is a striking pink-flowering shrub and thrives in the warm Mediterranean region.
