What is Heumann Nasal Spray and what is it used for?
Heumann Nasal Spray is a nasal spray (rhinological agent) and contains the alpha-sympathomimetic drug xylometazoline. Xylometazoline has vasoconstricting properties and thus reduces swelling in the mucous membranes.

Heumann Nasal Spray is used:

• for short-term treatment of swelling (congestion) of the nasal mucosa.

Heumann nasal spray is intended for adults and school children.

How should you use Heumann Nasal Spray?
Always use Heumann Nasal Spray exactly as directed in this package leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, adults and school-age children should spray Heumann Nasal Spray into each nostril up to three times a day as needed.

How should you use Heumann Nasal Spray?
Insert the spray opening of the fine dosing device into your nostril and press the spray mechanism firmly once.

Important:
Before using for the first time, pump several times until an even spray mist is released. For subsequent uses, the metered-dose spray is ready for use immediately.

How to use
Heumann Nasal Spray is intended for nasal application.

Duration of use
Heumann Nasal Spray should not be used for longer than seven days, unless prescribed by a doctor. Re-use should only take place after a break of several days. Use in cases of chronic rhinitis may only be under medical supervision due to the risk of atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
