The sodium bicarbonate in sodaNorm® passes through the stomach unharmed and is only released in the small intestine. Bicarbonate is absorbed into the plasma through the small intestinal mucosa, thus compensating for the bicarbonate deficit in chronic metabolic acidosis.
Good tolerability:
No gastric bloating, no compensatory hypersecretion (acid rebound), no impairment of digestion and no belching.
Easy to take:
Take 3 times daily, 1 hour before meals, without chewing.

One coated tablet contains 1,000 mg sodium bicarbonate (equivalent to 11.9 mmol). The sodium content is higher than that specified in Annex 6 of the German Diet Ordinance (DietV) due to specific dietary requirements.
