Mepilex Lite
Thin foam dressing for low-exuding acute and chronic wounds and as skin protection
The Mepilex Lite foam dressing was specially developed for the treatment of low-exuding acute and chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers or fragile skin. The thin foam dressing is soft and adaptable so it can be easily used on difficult-to-dress areas of the body. It can also be easily cut to the desired size.
It has Safetac - the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimizes the pain when changing the dressing. The dressing lies gently on the skin without sticking to the moist wound so you can easily remove it without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients. The wound edges are also sealed to protect the skin from damaging leaks and maceration. Mepilex Lite has been proven in clinical trials to minimize the skin reactions caused by radiation treatment.

- Soft and adaptable design, easy to apply.
- Minimizes the risk of maceration.
- Can be easily cut to the desired size and is therefore versatile.

Areas of application for Mepilex Lite:
Mepilex Lite is suitable for a wide range of low-exuding acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot syndrome, decubitus ulcers, second degree burns and epidermolysis bullosa. You can easily cut Mepilex Lite to the size of a specific wound because the soft foam is highly adaptable. This makes it ideal for wound areas that are difficult to dress, for example in the armpits or under the breast. You can use it together with our Tubifast fixation.
How to use Mepilex Lite:
Clean the wound according to medical standards and thoroughly dry the skin around the wound. Remove the protective film. Apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not stretch the dressing. Mepilex Lite should overlap the wound by at least two centimeters. If necessary, additionally fix Mepilex Lite with suitable fixatives, e.g. Tubifast.
