Thin foam dressing for low-exuding acute and chronic wounds and as skin protection

The Mepilex Lite foam dressing has been specially developed for the treatment of low-exuding acute and chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers or fragile skin. The thin foam dressing is soft and conformable, making it easy to use on difficult-to-dress areas of the body. It can also be easily cut to the required size.

It features Safetac - the original contact layer with silicone adhesive that minimizes the pain during dressing changes. The dressing rests gently on the skin without sticking to the moist wound, allowing you to remove it easily and without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients. The wound edges are also sealed to protect the skin from damaging leaks and maceration. Mepilex Lite has been proven in clinical trials to minimize skin reactions caused by radiation therapy.

Areas of application for Mepilex Lite:
Mepilex Lite is suitable for a wide range of low-exuding acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, second-degree burns, and epidermolysis bullosa. You can easily cut Mepilex Lite to the size of a specific wound because the soft foam is highly conformable. This makes it ideal for difficult-to-dress wound areas, such as underarms or under the breast. You can use it with our Tubifast fixation.

Application of Mepilex Lite:
Cleanse the wound according to medical standards and thoroughly dry the surrounding skin. Remove the protective film. Apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not stretch the dressing. Mepilex Lite should overlap the wound by at least two centimeters. If necessary, additionally secure Mepilex Lite with suitable fixatives, such as Tubifast.
