The all-in-one Mepilex Border Flex foam dressing boasts exceptional adhesive strength. It is versatile for the treatment of moderately to very heavily exuding wounds, such as leg ulcers, skin avulsions, leather exfoliations, and traumatic wounds. The unique Flex technology allows the dressing to stretch 360 degrees, allowing it to conform to the body and even be used on wounds in difficult-to-dress areas. It can also be worn longer than other wound dressings (on knees and elbows compared to other square dressings). It also enables better exudate management with both normal and viscous exudate. In fluid retention tests, Mepilex Border Flex outperformed all other all-in-one dressings by an incredible 125%. The dressing's unique adhesive properties prevent premature delamination, giving you more control over dressing change frequency.

The foam dressing with superabsorbent absorbs bacteria and draws them through the dressing into the special retention layer, where the bacteria are trapped. Once trapped in the layer, bacteria cannot re-enter the wound bed, even when the dressing is under pressure. The five-layer wound dressing also features Safetac, the original contact layer with silicone adhesive, which minimizes the pain of dressing changes. It rests gently against the skin without sticking to the moist wound, allowing you to easily remove the dressing without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients.

The barrier layer contains exudate control dots—a grid of equally spaced exudate tracking dots—that allow you to capture and share information between dressing changes and optimize dressing use efficiency. Mepilex Border Flex in larger sizes now features a three-part release liner that simplifies application to different wound types on different parts of the body.

You can use Mepilex Border Flex for a variety of moderately to heavily exuding wounds, such as pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, and traumatic wounds such as skin avulsions and leather cuts. The wound dressing can also be used in conjunction with gels for dry and necrotic wounds.

Uses of Mepilex Border Flex:

1. Clean the wound according to standard procedures. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Remove the central protective film.
2. Apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not stretch the dressing.
3. Now remove the protective films on the sides and smooth the sides.
