Magnesium and potassium ions FARMAPOL Asparaginian Lek 50 tablets

Aspartate Lek in the form of tablets with magnesium and potassium ions is a drug intended for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. What is Aspartate Lek used for? This drug is indicated for supplementing magnesium and potassium deficiencies in patients who do not require intravenous administration. Among other things, the drug can be used for cardiac arrhythmias and hyperactivity associated with magnesium and potassium deficiencies. Aspartate Lek can also be used prophylactically in ischemic heart disease. It is also indicated for the risk of a heart attack and for convalescence following a heart attack. The drug can also be taken in conditions following magnesium and potassium depletion (e.g., after surgery or infectious diseases) or to counteract the side effects of certain medications.

Composition

1 tablet contains 17 mg of magnesium ions in the form of 250 mg of magnesium hydrogen aspartate tetrahydrate (Magnesii hydroaspartas) and 54 mg of potassium ions in the form of 250 mg of potassium hydrogen aspartate hemihydrate (Kalii hydroaspartas). Excipients: potato starch, sucrose, talc, magnesium stearate, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type C), microcrystalline cellulose

Indications

Supplementing magnesium and potassium deficiency (when intravenous administration is not necessary): in arrhythmias and hyperexcitability of the heart – especially against the background of magnesium and potassium deficiency; prophylactically in ischemic heart disease, at the risk of myocardial infarction; in post-myocardial infarction convalescence; after infectious diseases or surgical procedures, during which magnesium and potassium were lost; as a drug to counteract the undesirable effects of long-term use of cardiac glycosides and diuretics (e.g., thiazides, furosemide).

Dosage

: Adults: 1 to 3 tablets twice daily, which means no more than 6 tablets per day.
Oral administration. It is recommended to take it in the morning and evening, after a meal, with water.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to magnesium hydrogen aspartate tetrahydrate, potassium hydrogen aspartate hemihydrate, or any of the excipients (potato starch, sucrose, talc, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate type C, microcrystalline cellulose). Hypermagnesemia, severe renal failure, urinary tract infections, hyperkalemia, atrioventricular conduction disorders, bradycardia, myasthenia gravis.
