Lutein belongs to the group of carotenoids. The yellow carotenoid lutein is found in particularly high concentrations in the human eye. Lutein is found in all green leafy vegetables and in various types of fruit.

Lutein capsules contain 6 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg of lutein and zeaxanthin, which are found in particularly high concentrations in the macula, in the retina of the eye. The two carotenoids are selectively enriched in the macula.

Raw material description
The lutein contained in Lutein capsules is FloraGLO Lutein® (FloraGLO is a registered trademark of Kemin Industries, Inc.), a high-quality plant-based raw material standardized to free lutein and zeaxanthin. The carotenoids are extracted from the marigold (Tagetes erecta). The gelatin used in the hard gelatin capsules is BSE/TSE-tested pharmaceutical gelatin.

Ingredients:
Filler: Mannitol (may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess); capsule shell: gelatin; colorant in the capsule shell: iron oxide; lutein (20%) (modified food starch, corn starch, lutein, glucose syrup, antioxidants: sodium ascorbate, DL-alpha-tocopherol)

Recommended dosage:
1 capsule once daily

Caution for diabetics! – contains mannitol (type of sugar)
