LAVANOX-Serag wound irrigation solution
for cleansing and infection prophylaxis of acute and chronic wounds with sodium hypochlorite/hypochlorous acid.
This product is a medical device. Please read the instructions in the package insert carefully and familiarize yourself with the functions and application before use.
Product description:
LAVANOX-Serag wound irrigation solution and LAVANOX-Serag wound spray are medical devices based on an electrochemically activated mineral salt solution with <0.08% sodium hypochlorite/hypochlorous acid (NaOCl/HOCl). The sodium hypochlorite/hypochlorous acid contained in LAVANOX-Serag ensures safe preservation and makes LAVANOX-Serag a well-tolerated and effective wound irrigation solution. The mechanical effect of LAVANOX-Serag® ensures thorough cleansing of the wound environment and creates an environment conducive to healing. In addition, unpleasant wound odors are quickly and reliably eliminated.
The preservative sodium hypochlorite/hypochlorous acid (NaOCl/HOCl) reduces the growth of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria (e.g., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, MRSA, and MRE), viruses, and fungi in the solution.
Area of application:
LAVANOX-Serag is used for cleansing, moistening, mechanical decontamination, and infection prophylaxis in the wound. It is used on contaminated, acute, and chronic wounds at risk of infection.
LAVANOX-Serag helps to efficiently and gently remove biofilm and fibrin and supports the painless removal of encrusted and difficult-to-remove wound dressings. LAVANOX-Serag Wound Irrigation Solution 1000 ml is suitable for use in negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
Effective mechanical cleaning:
The electrolysis process reduces the cluster size of the water from 15-20 molecules to approximately 5-7 molecules, thereby significantly lowering the surface tension. This allows for effective cleaning even in the most remote wound areas. Through this mechanical rinsing effect, LAVANOX-Serag significantly reduces the microbial load in the wound and achieves effective and rapid cleaning. Furthermore, with regular use, it can prevent wound infection.
Application:
A wound should first be cleaned of dirt, blood, and plaque. To do this, the affected areas are rinsed with LAVANOX-Serag or sprayed with several sprays.
After applying LAVANOX-Serag, there is no need to rinse with another solution. There are no restrictions on the duration or frequency of use. The application of LAVANOX-Serag is non-irritating, non-irritating, and painless.
Shelf life:
The shelf life after production is 2 years, and 12 weeks after first opening.
