The liquid vitamin concentrate supports the absorption of calcium and phosphorus and contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, it supports the function of the immune system and the growth and development of bones in children.

The key role of vitamin D in health has long been underestimated. The vitamin does more than just regulate calcium metabolism. It is involved in many processes in the body.

• Bones need calcium. Vitamin D3 regulates the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, thus contributing to the maintenance of bone health and muscle function. The higher the vitamin D level in the blood, the better/higher bone density. Thus, vitamin D3 also supports bone growth and development in children.
• Vitamin D3 supports the immune system in its function. Scientists at the University of Copenhagen have discovered that vitamin D is essential for the immune system. If the vitamin is missing in the body, the immune system's killer cells – the T cells – cannot respond and are unable to fight pathogens in the body. When confronted with a pathogen, a T cell extends a kind of antenna, a receptor, with which it searches for the vitamin. According to the scientist, this means that the T cell urgently needs the vitamin or ceases its activity. If the T cell does not receive enough vitamin D through the blood, it cannot become mobile.
