1. WHAT IS RINGER'S SOLUTION DAB 7 AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Substance or indication group or mode of action:
Electrolyte solution. 1 ml contains: 0.147 mmol Na+, 4 pmol K+, 2.25 pmol Ca++, 0.156 mmol Cl-.

Indications:

  • Fluid and electrolyte replacement in cases of hypochloremic alkalosis or chloride losses,
  • as short-term intravascular volume replacement,
  • isotonic dehydration,
  • hypotonic dehydration,
  • as a carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and medications.



2. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING RINGER'S SOLUTION DAB 7?

Contraindications:
Absolute contraindication:

  • Overhydration conditions (hyperhydration conditions).



Relative contraindications:

  • increased potassium content in the blood (hyperkalemia).
  • increased sodium content in the blood (hypernatremia).
  • increased chloride content of the blood (hyperchloremia).
  • Conditions that require restrictive sodium intake (such as heart failure, generalized edema, pulmonary edema, hypertension, eclampsia, severe renal insufficiency).



Caution is advised in patients with renal insufficiency who are prone to elevated blood potassium levels (hyperkalemia).

Precautions for use and warnings:
Electrolyte and fluid status checks are required. When treating hypertonic dehydration, excessively rapid infusion must be avoided at all costs (caution: increase in plasma osmolarity and plasma sodium concentration).

Interactions with other medicinal products:

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
There are no concerns about use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

3. HOW SHOULD RINGER'S SOLUTION DAB 7 BE USED?

Dosage instructions:
The dosage depends on the fluid and electrolyte requirements.

Maximum infusion rate:
The maximum infusion rate depends on the patient's clinical condition.

Maximum daily dose:
The maximum daily dose depends on the patient's fluid and electrolyte requirements. A fluid intake of 40 ml/kg body weight per day should not be exceeded in adults.

Method of administration:
For intravenous infusion.

Overdose:
Overdose can lead to overhydration, electrolyte imbalance, hyperosmolarity, and the induction of an acidotic metabolic state. Treatment: Interruption of the solution supply, accelerated elimination via the kidneys, and reduced supply of the corresponding electrolytes.

5. HOW SHOULD RINGER'S SOLUTION DAB 7 BE STORED?

Do not use after the expiry date printed on the container and outer packaging! Keep out of the sight and reach of children! Use immediately after opening! Use only clear solutions in undamaged containers! Never dispose of medicines via wastewater (e.g., not down the toilet or sink). Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. Composition:
1000 ml of infusion solution contains: Active ingredients: Sodium chloride 8.60 g, Potassium chloride 0.30 g, Calcium chloride dihydrate 0.33 g. Other ingredients: Water for injections. Electrolytes: Na+ 147 mmol/l, K+ 4 mmol/l, Ca++ 2.25 mmol/l, Cl- 156 mmol/l. Theoretical osmolarity: 309 mOsm/l. pH: 5.0 - 7.5.

Dosage form:
Dosage form: Solution for infusion. Contents of one plastic bottle: 250 ml, 500 ml, 1000 ml.
