Hydrocoll Thin is most useful in the epithelializing phase of wound healing. The top layer of the dressing acts as a barrier to bacteria and protects the wound from contamination and penetration of moisture. Patients can therefore shower with the dressing in place.

This thinner hydrocolloid dressing with lower absorption capacity is preferred for use during the epithelialization phase.

Hydrocoll is an absorbent, self-adhesive hydrocolloid dressing with a semipermeable, germ-proof top layer.%%% It creates a moist wound environment through gel conversion of the hydrocolloid dressing components. The gel remains absorbent until the hydrocolloids are saturated.%%% Promotes granulation and epithelialization.%%% Can be removed without wound irritation.%%% Available in various designs and cuts.

Application:
For moist wound treatment of clinically non-infected, lightly to moderately secreting wounds, especially for wounds with poor healing tendencies and prolonged granulation, e.g., leg ulcers or decubitus ulcers, or for second-degree burns. Hydrocoll sacral is used for decubitus ulcers in the sacral region, and Hydrocoll concave is used for the heel or elbow.
