Treatment and prevention of hepatobiliary disorders caused by gallstones. Biliary spasms and dyskinesia. Supportive before and after surgical procedures on the biliary tract.
Properties
A preparation with choleretic and antispasmodic effects. Reduces bile stasis and improves metabolic functions of the liver. Has a relaxing effect in spasmodic conditions of the biliary tract and reduces pain. Systematically taken, it facilitates the dissolution of existing cholesterol gallstones and prevents the formation of new ones (inhibits the activity of HMGCoA-reductase). The preparation is quickly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted in the form of glucuronides in urine and bile.
Method of use
Orally. Caps. Adults: 1 cap. 3-4 times a day. Children from 7-14 years of age: 1 cap. 1-2 times a day. Drops. Adults: 3-5 drops 4-5 times a day. In case of colic 20-30 drops, if necessary after 20 minutes the dose can be repeated. Children from 7-14 years of age: 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day. Capsules and drops should be taken 30 minutes before a meal (this prevents belching and a feeling of mint taste after eating).
Composition
1 soft capsule contains: 13.6 mg of α-pinene, 3.4 mg of ß-pinene, 32 mg of menthol, 6 mg of menthone, 5 mg of camphene, 5 mg of borneol, 2 mg of cineole. 100 mg drops contains: 13.6 mg of α-pinene, 3.4 mg of ß-pinene, 32 mg of menthol, 6 mg of menthone, 5 mg of camphene, 5 mg of borneol, 2 mg of cineole.
