WHAT ARE SILVERIN® SILVER NITRATE CAKING STICKS AND WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?
Silver nitrate kills bacteria in low concentrations; in high concentrations, it corrodes scabs. Potassium nitrate is the diluent, allowing the
silver nitrate reaction to proceed in a milder form. The mixture is applied to a stick like a match head and, after moistening, is ready for single application.

This medical device allows for spot application, limiting the effect to precisely defined areas.

INDICATIONS:
For the treatment of warts, umbilical cord remnants, and skin growths; for wound treatment; for aphthous stomatitis; for stopping superficial bleeding
and nosebleeds.

HOW SHOULD SILVERIN® SILVER NITRATE ETCHING STICKS BE USED?
Always use this medical device exactly as described in this package insert. If unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

RECOMMENDED AMOUNT:
Treat only small areas of skin at a time.

METHOD OF USE:
External use. Prepare a clean, insensitive surface. Clean the area to be treated. Moisten the etching stick head by briefly
holding the head of the etching stick under dripping water. The head will turn white or slightly light gray and is now ready for use. Dab or apply several
precise and even strokes to the affected area. The treated area will quickly turn black and will then be
sloughed off by the surrounding tissue over a period of several days. Repeat the treatment every 2-3 days until the desired result is achieved. The sticks are intended for single use only.

IN CASE OF OVERDOSAGE OF SILVERIN® SILVER NITRATE ETCHING STICKS:
Excessive use (without waiting for changes)
may cause irritation or inflammatory reactions in the area surrounding the treatment. In such cases,
seek medical advice before further use.

CONTENTS OF THE PACK AND FURTHER INFORMATION:
The pack consists of 10 or 100 etching sticks made of
beechwood (rigid) or plastic (elastic) with a round
active ingredient head containing 50% silver nitrate and 50% potassium nitrate
(SILVERIN® STICKS 50%) or 75% silver nitrate and 25%
potassium nitrate (SILVERIN® STICKS 75%).
