What are Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets and what are they used for?
The active ingredient in Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets is silicon dioxide, a purely physical adsorbent with an effect limited to the gastrointestinal tract. Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets are a traditionally used medicine to support intestinal function in cases of diarrhea. This information is based exclusively on tradition and many years of experience.

How should Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets be taken?
Always take Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose of Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets is:
Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and children aged 12 and over take 1-2 tablets chewed or sucked 2-5 times a day. Children aged 6 and over take half. Children under 6 years: see section 2, Children"

Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets should be taken 20 minutes before or between meals, i.e. on an empty stomach.
In principle, the duration of use is not limited. However, please note the information under point 2: "What you must consider before taking Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets".

If you have taken more Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets than you should:
Highly dispersed silicon dioxide is considered atoxic (non-toxic). To date, no symptoms of poisoning have been reported, even with the intake of high doses.

If you forget to take Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets
Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.

What Entero-Teknosal® chewable tablets contain:
The active ingredient is silicon dioxide (90% SiO2). One chewable tablet contains 1200 mg highly dispersed silicon dioxide. The other ingredients are: glucose, stearic acid, peppermint oil, orange peel oil, pregelatinized corn starch.
