Echinacea/Mercurius comp., suppositories for children, suppositories. Indications: In accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature. These include: stimulation of the immune system in feverish, more localized acute inflammatory processes, e.g. tonsillitis (angina tonsillaris), tendency to abscess formation.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: INFORMATION FOR THE USER

Echinacea/Mercurius comp., suppositories for children, suppositories

Composition:
1 suppository of 1 g contains: Apis mellifica ex animale toto Gl Dil. D3 1 mg (HAB, Vs. 41c), Argentum metallicum Dil. D18 aquos. 1 mg, Atropa belladonna e fructibus ferm 33a Dil. D2 1 mg (HAB, Vs. 33a), Echinacea pallida e radice ferm 33d Ø 1 mg (HAB, Vs. 33d), Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni Dil. D13 aquos. 1 mg. Other ingredients: hard fat, honey.

Indications:
According to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. These include: stimulation of the immune system in feverish, more localized acute inflammatory processes, e.g. tonsillitis (angina tonsillaris), tendency to abscess formation.

Contraindications:
This medicine should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients or excipients or to other members of the Asteraceae family. For general reasons, Echinacea/Mercurius comp. Suppositories should not be used in cases of progressive systemic diseases (progressive general diseases) such as tuberculosis, leukemia (leukemia or leukemia-like diseases), collagenoses (inflammatory diseases of the connective tissue), multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV infection (infection with the AIDS virus), chronic viral diseases, and autoimmune diseases (diseases directed against the body's own tissue).

Dosage and method of administration:
Unless otherwise prescribed, insert one suppository into the rectum 2 to 3 times daily.

Note:
Echinacea/Mercurius comp. Suppositories for children are intended for use in infants and children under 7 years of age.

Duration of use:
Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 1 week. If no improvement occurs within 2 days, consult a doctor. The duration of use should not exceed 8 weeks without medical advice.

Side effects:

The following frequency information is used to assess side effects:
Very common: more than 1 in 10 treated patients
Frequently: 1 to 10 treated patients out of 100
Occasionally: 1 to 10 patients treated in 1,000
Rarely: 1 to 10 treated patients out of 10,000
Very rare: less than 1 in 10,000 treated
Not known: Frequency cannot be estimated based on the available data.



Very rare:

  • Newborns and infants up to 12 weeks old, children suffering from bronchial asthma, and patients with Down syndrome are sensitive to the ingredients of deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna), so that a temporary change in breathing rate or increased fatigue may occur.
  • Hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Skin rash, itching, and rarely facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness, and a drop in blood pressure have been observed with medicines containing echinacea preparations. In these cases, you should discontinue the medicine and consult your doctor.
