CUTIMED Sorbact absorbent compresses 10x10 cm
CUTIMED Sorbact absorbent compresses 10x10 cm benefits:
- Prevents and treats wound infection.
- Safe removal of bacteria, fungi and endotoxins.
- Effective against most common resistant pathogens.
Cutimed Sorbact
Cutimed Sorbact is an innovative wound dressing that combats infections in a particularly safe and effective way – purely physically. Cutimed Sorbact binds germs based on the principle of hydrophobic interaction and does not require the use of chemical antimicrobial substances: The special Sorbact coating gives the product strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are naturally hydrophobic and therefore bind to the Sorbact fabric. Thus, with each dressing change, the number of germs in the wound is reduced, creating optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process.
Benefits:
- No known mechanisms for the development of resistance in bacteria or fungi to Cutimed Sorbact.
- No killing of bacteria and fungi, therefore no additional release of endotoxins and the associated delay in healing.
- unlimited duration of use during the course of therapy.
- no known contraindications.
Sorbact is a registered trademark of ABIGO medical AB. Cutimed Sorbact is made from acetate or cotton fabric fibers with a bacteria-binding coating for effective infection control. Latex-free formulation. Not manufactured with natural rubber latex.
Indications:
Cutimed Sorbact is suitable for all clean, colonized, contaminated, or infected, exuding wounds:
