1. WHAT IS BRYOPHYLLUM 5% AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Bryophyllum 5% is an anthroposophical medicinal product. Indications: According to anthroposophical understanding of humanity and nature, the indications include: Susceptibility to specific forms of functional disorders and recurring inflammations in the metabolic system%%% Painful conditions due to weakened vital forces%%% Restlessness and emotional distress, and resulting sleep disorders.

2. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING BRYOPHYLLUM 5%?

Bryophyllum 5% should not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to Bryophyllum (Kalanchoe).

Precautions for use:
If symptoms persist or are unclear, please consult a doctor.

Children:
Bryophyllum 5% injection solution should not be used in children under 12 years of age, as there is insufficient documented experience.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Like all medicines, Bryophyllum 5% should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.

Interactions with other medicines:
None known. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Driving and operating machinery:
No special precautions are necessary.

3. HOW TO USE BRYOPHYLLUM 5%

Always use Bryophyllum 5% exactly as your doctor has told you. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is: Inject 1 ml subcutaneously twice a week to once a day. The subcutaneous injection is usually given in the thigh or the outer side of the upper arm or in the abdominal region. After cleaning the injection site (e.g. by rubbing with 70% alcohol), create a fold in the skin and insert the injection needle at an angle. Pull the syringe plunger back slightly. If blood appears, a blood vessel has been punctured. In this case, repeat the injection at a different site. If no blood appears, inject slowly, then withdraw the needle and briefly press the puncture site with a swab. It is always recommended that you learn the injection technique from an experienced person.

Duration of use:
Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks. If no improvement occurs within this period, a doctor should be consulted. The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses requires consultation with a doctor.

If you forget to use Bryophyllum 5%:
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure about the use of this medicine.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Bryophyllum 5% can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur.

Reporting of side effects:
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, Dept. Pharmacovigilance, Kurt-Georg-Kiesinger Allee 3, D-53175 Bonn, Website: www.bfarm.de. By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.

5. WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT?

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the ampoules and carton. Storage conditions: For long-term storage, the temperature should not exceed 25°C.

Composition:
1 ampoule of 1 ml contains: Active ingredient: aqueous extract of Kalanchoe pinnata, Folium rec. (plant to extractant = 1:1.1) 0.1 g. Other ingredients: sodium chloride, water for injections.

Dosage form and package size:
8 ampoules of 1 ml of injection solution.
