iotylek 5 mg belongs to the group of vitamin preparations. Biotin, which is a part of it, is a water-soluble vitamin, classified as a B vitamin.

Biotin supports the processes of keratin formation and differentiation of epidermal cells and hair and nails, improving their condition.

Indications

Biotylek is used to treat biotin deficiency with symptoms such as hair loss, nail and hair growth disorders and their excessive brittleness, inflammation of the skin located around the eyes, nose, mouth, perineum and to prevent the consequences of deficiencies, after other causes have been ruled out by the doctor.

Dosage

- The drug is administered orally.

- The recommended dose is from 5 mg to 10 mg of biotin per day.

- In a situation where the doctor decides to start the treatment, he may recommend a different schedule of taking the drug.

- The duration of treatment depends on the nature and course of the disease. Symptoms subside after about 4 weeks of use. In the case of people with difficulties in swallowing, the tablet can be crushed and dissolved in a small amount of water.

- Note: the medicine should be used regularly.

Contraindications

Allergy to biotin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
