Where
does the name bee bread come from?
Perga is the bread of the bees. In good weather, the larvae are fed fresh pollen, but since this does not keep for long, the bees "bake" their own bread, perga. You could say: "Pollen is the flour of the bees, perga is the bread." This happens primarily through fermentation, as we know and appreciate from the lactic acid fermentation of sauerkraut.

Advantages of pollen fermentation
Pollen has a strong protective layer around it. Fermentation helps to break down the pollen so that its ingredients become fully bioavailable to us. This makes it particularly digestible and valuable.

Possible residues and pollutants in perga
In order to use perga for health treatments, its quality must be guaranteed. This means that it should be harvested before Varroa mite control and should also be tested for residues afterwards. This ensures the high quality of the pargas. We do this for the benefit of everyone.

Important note:
Individuals sensitive to the ingredients should inform themselves beforehand. Otherwise, bee bread can be consumed safely over extended periods. Because it is a raw food product, children under 1 year of age should only consume it after consulting a doctor.
