Biatain Silicone Ag is a soft, flexible, and highly absorbent foam dressing with gentle silicone adhesion. Biatain Silicone Ag contains silver that is continuously released into the wound. Can be used on infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection.

Excellent absorption due to the unique 3D foam structure:
Upon contact with exudate, the 3D foam structure of Biatain Silicone Ag bulges towards the wound bed, ensuring excellent absorption - even under compression. The wound exudate is absorbed by the unique 3D foam structure, vertically transported away from the wound, and safely stored, while maintaining a moist wound environment, creating optimal conditions for wound healing. Direct contact with the wound bed reduces the void between the dressing and the wound and minimizes the accumulation of exudate that can lead to infection.

Continuous silver release:
Silver complex with proven efficacy against bacteria commonly found in infected wounds with delayed healing, including MRSA, VR-E, ESBL-producing bacteria, and Pseudomonas. The silver profile ensures sustained silver release throughout the entire wear period (up to 7 days).

Product composition:
Biatain Silicone Ag is a soft and conformable polyurethane foam dressing with a silver ion complex homogeneously distributed throughout the foam matrix. The dressing features a semi-permeable, bacteria- and water-repellent top film and a soft silicone adhesive edge.
