Bactigras* is an antiseptic, soft paraffin gauze dressing which soothes and protects the wound whilst helping to reduce wound infection and inflammation. It has low adherence and allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing.

BACTIGRAS is a soft paraffin gauze dressing with chlorhexidine that acts as a barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing. This allows for atraumatic dressing changes for the patient. The open structure of the dressing allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing. A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the dressing. BACTIGRAS is effective against a broad spectrum of germs, thus reducing the risk of bacterial colonization in the wound.

BACTIGRAS contains a broad-spectrum antiseptic (0.5% chlorhexidine acetate). Therefore, the dressing can be used for infection prevention and treatment. Thanks to its white paraffin coating, BACTIGRAS acts as a barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing. This allows for atraumatic dressing changes for the patient. The open structure of the cotton gauze allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing, such as an absorbent pad. A special weave prevents fraying when cutting the dressing.

Indications:
BACTIGRAS is for external use only. Bactigras is suitable for a wide range of wounds at risk of infection, or for infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotic therapy. Bactigras can be used to treat minor burns and scalds, wounds with skin loss (lacerations, abrasions, excisions, and graft wounds), and leg ulcers.
