Astaxanthin + Selenium (Organic)

Dietary supplement with natural astaxanthin from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis and selenium from mustard seeds

The blood rain algae (Haematococcus pluvialis) is a microalgae known for its striking red coloration, which it produces more intensely under difficult living conditions as a protective reaction. This is due to the carotenoid astaxanthin, which is also found in various fruits and vegetables and, for example, causes the characteristic coloring of salmon and flamingos. The selenium contained in the capsules comes from an organic mustard seed extract obtained from black mustard (Brassica nigra). Selenium contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. GSE's Bio Astaxanthin + Selenium also contains grape seed concentrate powder, which comes exclusively from grapes cultivated according to organic farming principles. Grape seeds are known for their natural OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) content. OPC are classified as secondary plant substances.
