Vaginal dryness is a widespread problem that affects women at different stages of life. Whether due to hormonal changes (e.g. during pregnancy or menopause), stress or certain medications - the resulting symptoms such as itching, burning or pain during intercourse can significantly reduce quality of life. Arifem ^® hydro 2in1 Vaginal Gel offers a hormone-free solution that, thanks to the combination of hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, provides symptom relief and pH support for vaginal atrophy (dryness).

2-in-1 combination: Hyaluronic acid & lactic acid
Hyaluronic acid is an effective therapeutic option for vaginal dryness as it provides lasting moisture thanks to its water-binding properties. Hyaluronic acid has a very high water-binding capacity¹. The topical application of hyaluronic acid improves the hydration of the vaginal mucosa.

Lactic acid is one of the most important factors in maintaining the vaginal defense against infections. Lactic acid in vaginal gels offers therapeutic benefits by regulating the pH value in the vaginal area. This regulation supports the maintenance and restoration of an acidic environment.

Vaginal dryness: symptoms and causes
Vaginal dryness often affects affected women in their everyday lives and love lives. Typical symptoms of vaginal dryness are:
• burning,
• itching or
• pain during intercourse.

Women of all ages can be affected, although common causes can be hormonal changes (for example during pregnancy, breastfeeding or at the onset of menopause), illness or even stress.

But don't worry: with a correct diagnosis, vaginal dryness can be treated well. Arifem ^® hydro 2in1 vaginal gel offers a hormone-free treatment option .

Areas of application of Arifem ^® hydro
Externally: For discomfort in the vaginal opening and external genital area, the gel is applied and spread with a clean finger as needed, even several times a day. A strip of gel approximately 0.5 cm in length is sufficient.

Internally: Vaginal application should be once daily, preferably in the evening before going to bed. Insert a strip of gel approximately 2 cm in length with a clean finger and spread the gel into the vagina. Use a protective underwear if necessary.

For acute symptoms
For acute symptoms, daily application for 7-10 days.

For maintenance:
Once symptoms have subsided, application every 3 days or as needed is sufficient to maintain lubrication.

The gel is quickly absorbed and, due to its high water content, is more similar to the natural vaginal environment and can therefore support the physiological conditions of the vaginal mucosa in a different way than products containing fat, such as a cream for vaginal dryness.

Can Arifem ^® hydro be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Arifem ^® hydro should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting your doctor.

How long does Arifem ^® hydro last?
Once opened, the gel has a shelf life of 6 months. In general, Arifem ^® hydro may only be used until the expiry date printed on the tube and the carton.

The expiry date is always shown after the symbol and refers to the last day of the specified month.

Is Arifem ^® hydro suitable for long-term use?
Yes, however, after symptoms subside, one application every three days or as needed is sufficient to maintain moisturizing.
