Aquacel Foam dressings offer you:
- A waterproof protective film that allows evaporation of excess moisture while protecting against viral/bacterial penetration.
- A soft, absorbent foam cushion to increase comfort and absorb excess fluid.
- A hydrofiber wound contact layer that gels upon contact with wound fluid, promotes healing, and allows the patient to shower and bathe.
- A gentle silicone adhesive that provides secure, skin-friendly adhesion and easy removal, with low potential for skin irritation or allergic contact sensitization.
Indication:
Aquacel Foam is suitable for the treatment of acute and chronic, moderately exuding wounds, e.g.:
- Venous leg ulcer
- arterial leg ulcer
- decubitus
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Surgical wounds (skin donor sites)
- Secondary healing wounds
Aquacel Foam can be used as a primary dressing for superficial wounds and as a secondary dressing for wounds 3 mm and deeper in combination with a wound filler, e.g., Aquacel Extra or Aquacel Ag+ Extra.
