Alpha Lipon Plus (lipoic acid)

The ingredients of Alpha Lipon Plus (per 1 capsule) contribute to the following: • Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. • Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal functioning of blood vessels, bones, skin, teeth, cartilage and gums • Vitamin C contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system • Vitamin C contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system • Vitamin C contributes to the regeneration of the active form of vitamin E • Vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. • Vitamin C contributes to normal energy metabolism. • Vitamin C contributes to normal psychological function. • Vitamin C increases iron absorption.

Application :

Standard dosage: 1 capsule per day with a meal

Composition per capsule:

• 100 mg alpha-lipoic acid
• 50 mg vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

Ingredients:

Binder: Microcrystalline cellulose, alpha-lipoic acid, ascorbic acid, capsule: gelatin, water, anti-caking agent: magnesium stearate

Soya, Gluten, Milk (including Lactose), Sugar, Preservatives, Synthetic Fragrances, Colors and Flavourings, Yeast

Notes:

Additional note: Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding (due to insufficient data). Do not give alpha-lipoic acid in high doses to patients suspected of (severe) thiamine deficiency. In these patients, also give thiamine before treatment.

Side effects:

Allergic skin problems may occur due to the use of alpha lipoic acid. In diabetics, beware of hypoglycemia due to improved glucose utilization. Beware of possible mineral deficiencies with long-term use of alpha lipoic acid due to its (heavy) metal chelating properties. Such deficiencies have never been identified to date and, in addition, the use of Multi-Mins in addition to alpha lipoic acid is sufficient to prevent mineral deficiencies.
