Acai Fruit Extract 500mg Vegetarian Capsules

Acai (botanical name: Euterpe oleracea) is a small, dark red to black berry that grows at a height of about 25 m on the clumps of the acai palm (cabbage palm, jucara palm, assai palm). About 80% of the fruit consists of a single seed.

The acai palms, whose clusters can carry up to 6 kg of fruit, are mainly found in the lower Amazon in the state of Pará. The berries are harvested from July to December and then processed into juice, powder, fruit puree or the popular "Vinho de Assai", a wine that tastes of cocoa.

Acai berries are characterized by an extraordinarily high content of anthocyanins, cell-protecting secondary plant substances (polyphenols). Due to their extraordinary composition, the power berries from the Amazon region are now also conquering the hearts of physically and mentally active people in Europe.
